Greenwood township
The introduction of the railroad, followed by the laying of ‘corduroy roads’ over sections of muddy terrain, aided in the development and settlement of the area. In 1874, Greenwood Township was formally established.
HILLCREST CEMETERY
On March 11, 1878 Edward and Olive Nelson sold the property, now known as our Hillcrest Cemetery, to
the township for the handsome sum of $15.00.
